Our special Angels Sabrina and Chris dropped by planet why again. This time they also brought another Angel Laura! They came with a big bag of treasures. It was a great time with laughter and dance, song and fun. A stunning video was made with sabrina's beautiful voice and the project why children dancing. Chris was the perfect director and Laura taught the children the right movements. A party at the women centre turned into a real jamboree with over 300 people! There was food and drink and a lot of merriment.
But Angels do not stay for long; they simply fly away till they drop by again! We will miss them

Kamala centre

www.flickr.com
The Kamala Centre is now a vibrant place filled with energy. It has three full time residents, over 120 children who come for education support, over 60 women from the community participate in various activities: sewing, beauty, jewel making etc.
But our real challenge is to try and improve the living conditions of these women and run workshops on gender equality, hygiene, nutrition, legal rights etc. The present monthly cost of the centre is 71 000 rs (1200 Euros)

Children Chance Programme

www.flickr.com
The Children Chance Programme is one that happened as all happens at project why quite by chance. We are very proud of it as it is probably unique in many ways. IN a land where inclusive education even between normal children is anathema, this programme aims at bringing together disabled and abled children under one roof. For the former it will be practically getting them off the streets and giving them security and dignity and for he others it will be a stepping stone to quality education.
The present monthly cost of the children chance centre is about 50 000 rs a month. For more on this unique centre read the following blogs
