Our origins:
"The problem with education for the poor in India, is the publi
c
schooling system."
That discovery was the provocation for starting
Project Why.
Since 1998, Sri Ram Goburdhun Charitable Trust has been taking
non-formal education to the Giri Nagar slum in Delhi and creating an
esteem for education among children there.
Today there are 300 children who *enjoy* their education delivered to them by committed teachers,
many of whom are the products of slums themselves. 'Success' as
measured by examination results is also remarkable.
In the process of that main work, Project Why has created a loving
network that has instilled hope and cheer in children and their
parents.
